FAQs About Rustic Round Dining Tables

How do you choose the right round dining table for your home?

Know how many people you want to sit with daily and if you have guests often. We recommend a larger dining table or adding an extension or leaves if you frequently have guests. You can learn more about how to choose the best size here.

What are the different materials that can be used to make a round dining table?

We have an assortment of different wood types like reclaimed barnwood, Oak, live edge, and more that can be used. If you customize, you can select your favorite wood type, shape, style, and table base or legs. The base can be wood or steel, depending on your preference!

How do you care for a wood dining table?

We recommend not placing your new wood furniture in direct sunlight. It can damage the integrity of the wood and color. We also recommend cleaning without chemicals. An 8:1 water to vinegar ratio is perfect. Check out our FAQ page for more tips.

Is a round table better for a small dining room?

A round table is great for smaller dining rooms because square or rectangular tables can occupy more space and limit access to seating.

Does a round dining table save space?

Yes! Square tables have corners; having a round table gives slightly less surface space, but they're easier to fit into smaller dining rooms comfortably.

How much room do you need for a round table?

It depends on the size of your eating area and how many people you want to sit. Please see our guide for more info.

Why are round tables better than squares?

Round tables are not better than squares --they are just different. Both options can have extendable leaves to accommodate larger gatherings. It all depends on your personal preference, needs, and the size of your dining room.

Do round tables make it easier to have a conversation?

We think that round tables make it easier to socialize, especially in more intimate settings. No need to crane a neck to see who you're talking to.

How much space do you need around a round table?

We recommend at least 42" to 48" between the dining chair and the wall for the most comfortable setting.

What is a good size round dining table for 4?

3-4 feet in diameter. 3 feet can seat two to four, while 4 feet can seat four to six; this does not include extensions.

How big is a round table that seats 8?

5-6 feet in diameter. 5 feet can seat six to eight, while 6 feet can sit eight to twelve.

How big is a round table that seats 12?

A round table that is 6 feet in diameter can seat up to 12. Add leaf extensions to create more room.
